Bill Musser offers small workshops for one or two students high up in the beautiful Jemez Mountains of New Mexico near the historic village of Jemez Springs. The small class sizes ensure attention to individual concerns and allows each course to be tailored to the needs and desires of the student(s). Potential course components include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Anatomical and physiological understanding of muscle health and muscle dysfunction
- Theoretical framework for approaching injury/pain care: The ‘whys’ of treatment
- Review of relevant anatomical structures
- Specific treatment protocols
- Injury prevention
- Client after-care
- Relevant massage and medical research
The following is a partial list of injuries that can be included:
- Low back pain
- Gluteal region pain
- Hamstring, groin, and quadriceps pain
- Knee pain
- Lower leg, ankle and foot pain
- Mid-back and thoracic pain
- Neck pain
- Shoulder injuries
- Injuries of the elbow
- Forearm pain
- Wrist pain (including carpal tunnel syndrome)
- Hand and thumb pain
Workshops can provide up to 30 hours of contact/hands-on credits* and non-contact hours based on outside reading*.
Two person classes are $215 per person for two days (15 contact CEU’s plus non-contact CEU’s), $300 per person for three days (22.5 contact CEUs plus non-contact CEUs) and $375 person for four days (30 contact CEUs plus non-contact CEUs).
Individual classes are $325 for two days (15 contact CEU’S plus 4 non-contact CEUs), $475 for three days (22.5 contact CEU’s plus 4 non-contact CEUs) and $600 for four days (30 contact CEUs plus 4 non-contact CEUs)
Course fees include pre-course manual, all handouts, supplies needed in class, lunch and snacks.
